Letter from parents

Hello, dear Benefactors!

Our cherished daughter Dasha is 3 years 9 months. Dasha was born with a critical CHD: pulmonary atresia, tricuspid valve dysplasia.

For health reasons, she was operated on the 15th day after her birth. Open heart surgery was done at the Intensive Care Department of the Filatov hospital.

At the age of 2 years 9 months a second open heart surgery was made, in the course of which the pulmonary valve was replaced with a mono cusp of the conduit, and also another tricuspid valve plasty was made.

Forecasts of the surgeons were: "For 5 years it is enough, but not optimal, however, in our opinion, can’t be done better." And now, a year after the last surgery, the test results have sharply deteriorated. The right heart has dramatically enlarged,  failure on both valves has increased from 2 to 3 degrees.

There rose a question about the third open-heart surgery. Our attending surgeon didn’t refuse us directly, but our problem was too complicated for their department. They explicitly admit the unsatisfactory results of the second operation and the undesirability of another surgery with unwarranted result.

We were recommended to apply to Clinics in Berlin or Munich. The Berlin Clinic billed for the operation in the amount of 40,945 EUR. For our family the cost of this treatment is unbearable. We are writing to you to ask for help in paying for the operation of our dear daughter!

Dasha is a very active, energetic and affectionate girl. She dreams to learn dancing and skating after recovery.
