Apparatuses

The apparatus “Popular cardiograph” (EKN-01). The apparatus is designed for pickup of the electrocatrdiogram by 12 derivations (standard, enhanced, thoracal), along with 3 additory derivations (derivations by Nebu). Such an approach completely covers the needs of the human under research. The research in no way differs from the research conducted in the hospital.

The apparatus is connected to the human’s body in one of the following ways:

• The lap made of dense cloth, to which the electrodes are attached. It  is the part of a standard supply package. The innovational system of electrodes’ individual position is used. The human in sitting or lying position pushes this lap towards the chest in such a way, that individually set electrodes be placed to the necessary spots. Afterwards the measurement of ECG is conducted.


• The waistcoat made of flexible material is put on beneath the clothes. EKN-01 can be mounted on the  waistcoat, and, along with the doc-station, it can secure the wireless transmission of the signal to the smartphone.


• Integration into the clothes. Special clothes, capable of transmitting electricity, are nested into the clothes, for example, into the sleeveless sports shirt of elastane with membrana for the sweat, further they are connected to the EKN-01 (the apparatus, in it’s stead, is connected to the doc-station), which allows to implement wearable device – T-shirt Cardio Platform. This is exactly the platform, since the utilization of new high-technology clothes allows the placement of other  apparatuses in the clothes as well. Such an utilization of the new clothes is a separate technology, an independent (concomitant) product, at which our team works.

There are T-shirts, which are positioned to be ECG-recorders, but in most of the cases, they turn out to be the pulsimeter with one derivation. The cardiograph EKN-01 with 12 derivation is planned to be used in the T-shirt under distribution. Therefore the special construction of the T-shirt was developed, where the conducting parts are made of special clothes and can be washed. The apparatus is easily disconnected for the time of washing.  Apart from that, other sensors may be placed on the basis of T-shirt. The method of placement  and binding is a proper development. In addition to that, the patient, either himself or herself, or with assistance of the doctor, enters the anatomic parameters of his or her body, while the feature calculates the coordinates, at which the sensors must be placed. The coordinates are marked on the internal side of the T-shirt.

By the doc-station an apparatus is implied, which contains the Bluetooth-transmission unit and the battery. With the help of the mini-USB cable it is connected to the cardiograph and secures the wireless transmission of the signal. The battery powers the Bluetooth-transmission unit and the cardiograph itself simultaneously, since the cardiograph has no internal source of power. The doc-station is charged (and it may charge the cardiograph as well) from the female connector with the help of the second mini-USB cable.

The full version of the apparatus for 6 derivations (three standard and three via Nebu) exists for the current moment. Such an apparatus comes handy for application at home and allows to educe the ischemic heart disease, even though it is done without exact specification. Nevertheless, a decision was made to develop the very 12-derivations’ apparatus – the full-fledged medical analyzer.

Several samples of the apparatus were issued to the patients, and one of them was sent to Krasnoyarsk for testing of all the components of the telemedical system.
